Well, thanks to Kristi from George & Ginger patterns, I have been able to sew up some new shirts just for me. These aren’t just comfy lounge around raglans… They are truly sassy selfish pieces that I can, and need to, add to my oh-so-boring closet. I didn’t venture far from my typical color pallet here, so that will be my next goal I suppose.
This collections consists of 4 tops (plus a bonus free tank) each having its very own identity. The Simply Ruched Top is probably my favorite of the collection as it can be something very casual or be dressed up by altering fabric selection. This version is from some heather gray and teal solids from the Purple Seamstress.
The Twisty Top is the sassy one of the bunch. It’s so edgy, but sadly, I’m not so much. I had to throw on a cami to sport this one, but it does look so HOT on the testers that taped on the pasties and went for the real deal backless sexy goddess look. Maybe I’ll go for gold on a date night with the husband…but that doesn’t happen as often as I wish. I love the fit in the chest and that it is such a fun surprise in the the back for the very conservative front. Fabric for this one was from…. Wal-mart!!! Yap…That’s right. $4.95 per yard Jersey. It’s so soft… I love it. Don’t tell anyone.
The Splitsville Top is the last one in the collection I’m posting here today. It has some great color block options along with a fun back split that falls at the center of the back just below the bra line. No pasties needed. 🙂 I did this version by up-cycling a maxi dress I wore when I was prego with the Littles. It was a great use of the dress that I wasn’t planning to wear again.
The Bowlicious Top isn’t pictured here, but be on the look out for a classy version of this soon. Check out the listing photos for sneaks from some of the testers until then.
All these tops have multiple sleeve length options. They can be worn in every season! I’m a sucker for the 3/4 length, so I mixed it up with the Splitsville Top and went with short sleeves.

If you had them all, which would you do first? I’m going to put together some more Splitsville Tops because it is so fast! I may even try to close it up in the back and see how it looks.
